Sicky

Been sick since Friday. My head hurts 24/7. Needless to say, this photo was taken last week before I devolved into a pajama wearing cave dweller. I'm currently wearing work-pajamas (sweatshirt + leggings). Speaking of pajamas, I'm throwing a pajama party next week at work on Monday right after daylight savings! Yay! 

I remember that day getting home and realizing that the black shirt I was wearing (see above) is actually quite see-through. FML. Good thing I wore my jacket for the majority of the day. 

There's Charlie in the background doing her thing. One day, it'll be hilarious if she's popping a squat during my outfit photo. It was really foggy after work that day!!! I remember thinking it was appropriate that I was wearing greige because they sky was greige too. Hugs!
But seriously. My head hurts. Can I go home yet?

Deep Breaths

I was (am still) feeling a little grumpy lately, and when I told my boyfriend such on our way to dinner last night, he suggested that we breathe deeply. Several deep inhalations and exhalations later, I was indeed feeling better and even let an elusive smile creep across my face. However, it was a fleeting moment and my grumpiness inevitably returned. Today, as I sit my grumpy self at my desk, I try a few deep breaths and they are still slightly therapeutic, so are the 3 chocolate candies I just ate. 

This outfit is actually from Wednesday, but I didn't load my pictures. Luckily I have another outfit from yesterday to post because today I was late and wore my sloth uniform of jeans and t-shirt. I even wore my rainbow sandals today. Complete slothness. Don't judge me, I'm grumpy!

I FINALLY got my experiment working today. HURRAY! I may still meet my deadline if I work myself to death in the next few weeks! (I'm excited about it now, but I'll be in loathing in a few days) The idea of being done with this project is so savory and I can't wait to finish my last assay. I also can't wait for my paper to come out so I can show it to medical schools (please accept me, I'm really quite normal! Really!). This has been stressing me out in low levels in the back of my mind for a while, and I'm eager for print date to approach.
These photos were taken yesterday in a stairwell after work, and several people walked by and thus caused me to spiral into a downward plunge towards embarrassment. After I told them it was for my blog, they seemed to understand and scurry away even more quickly.

I plan to exercise tonight. Go me! It's been beautiful and wam-ish lately so I have worn skirts two days in a row! This sloth is shedding it's winter languor (for now)! 

I'm laughing in the second photo because my photographer said something about hairy wieners. Inappropriate! 

MEET MATT!!!!

My favorite. Matt Wertz. New Album March 15. I love love love this guy. I see him EVERYTIME he comes to SD; sometimes in LA too. I'm missing my Matt Wertz shirt, and I obviously need it because he's going to be in town April 17th. PLEASE RSVP to the SD event so if you win the Meet and Greet, you can take me!!!!!!!! (p.s. if you see my shirt, please give it back it me. It's orangey and has a bicycle on it.)
Matt and I have met before, and last time I made him a poster so I hope he'll pick me, but I can't be a slacker about this. SO RSVP! For ME! PLEASE?!
