I went shopping at fashion valley today, but I didn't buy anything. Look what this recession has done to me :(

Temecula, CA

A couple weeks ago, some coworkers and I drove up to Temecula to celebrate a birthday and visit some wineries in the area. I hadn't been in a limo in a long time so it was fun but I don't remember it being so hard to get in and out of the limo! No wonder I see crotch shots of celebrities all the time. I ended up getting a big nasty wino headache by the end of the day, but it was fun and a rather beautiful day.

The best winery was the one called Cougar (actually quite appropriately named) because we got a little tour of the back room where they were actually making the wine!! Since it's fall, many wineries have recently harvested their grapes and begun the wine making process for the season. This particular winery does a open fermentation, meaning the grapes ferment in big open boxes. The most awesome part is that we got to help with the mixing and aerating of the fermenting grapes!!! We tasted the pre-fermentation grape juice as well as the baby wine. They were both much more delicious than wine (personally, I have yet to acquire the taste for wine and I guess it's not classy to chug it or down it like a shot).

I finally finished my secondaries!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What am I going to do with all this free time now?!?!
I have a sewing class that starts on thursday so I'm excited about that too. Still volunteering in the ER at the hospital. Maybe I can start cooking/baking again? I'm definitely going to play my guitar more. I never know what to play though. The moment I think I'm going to play, I just blank out on what to play. Suggestions?
Went to Temecula for wine-tasting for a co-worker's birthday yesterday. Got a nasty headache; gross but dinner was delicious and the weather was beautiful and I might have enjoyed some wine. I'm still learning to appreciate it I think. I feel like this process would be more enjoyable for me if it was like a food-wine pairing kind of tasting. Alchies tastes so much better with food. and hotties. 
I can just tell this free-time-thing is gonna get old soon. Planning on getting my Halloween costume together soon. I need a masquerade costume and bf and I and buddy are going to be the little yellow minions from Despicable Me!! Charlie is going to be a dinosaur:

Maybe I should be a dinosaur too!!! I might miss our annual office Halloween party this year because of the SF trip which is little sad because last year I won cutest costume and it was really fun! Perhaps culinary club will have it's own Halloween party.
