Some online purchases from Aldo on Black Friday. Got them for a pretty good deal. They still have sizes so I attached the link. I'm hoping these fall into the category of "Sensible Heels" for my interviews. Yes? I'll have to see how ridiculous or not they will be once they're in my little paws. They look sensible enough... They caught my eye because they possess several of my shoe-love-must-haves.

1. They're black. My favorite color.

2. Close toed. Can't wear open toed shoes at work. And I'm a little self conscious about my toes.

3. Chunky heel. I decided to stay away from stilettos as much as I can resist (same with suede). Chunky heels are better for dancing anyhow! 

4. Platforms. I appreciate every centimeter I can get. 

5. Leather leather leather. 

My mom noticed I've been buying a lot of shoes lately, or perhaps she's slowly getting a glimpse of the ridiculousness that is my shoe collection. There's something so soothing about buying shoes. When I'm stressed or sad (and when I'm not too!), I like to go look at (and buy) shoes.

I'd Catch a Grenade for You

"Grenade" by Bruno Mars is genius. I've probably listened to it 50 times already. I haven't been so obsessed with a song since "No Air." The lyrics are simple yet moving and dramatic. I love driving in the car and blasting this song. Sometimes you just want to feel the music, and not just listen to it, feel the beats reverberate and the notes resonate through your body. I wish I had the talent to create something so emotional and powerful and expressive. 

I LOVE SLOTHS!!!

I've always had a small obsessions with sloths because the stone that our kitchen table is made out of has a bizarre pattern in one particular spot that looks like a sloth!! Since I always sit in that spot, my love for sloths has stayed with me through the years. I found this video on Refinery29's Daily Diversion and fell in love again. Some of the older sloths are not too cute but the babies are ADORABLEEEEEEE. Wish I had a pet sloth.

I wonder

I follow about 100 blogs, probably more, but sometimes I wonder if these bloggers live in a different parallel universe. How can they afford all these uber-expensive clothes? It sure doesn't look like they have day jobs. Independenly wealthy? I dunno.

I actually looovve this blog and this girl is gorgeous, but really how much do you think she paid for these jeans that are missing the entire knee section? I wouldn't even donate those jeans to the salvation army. My mind is officially boggled.

Today's Thanksgiving training task: 
I ate the most enormous Chipotle burrito I have ever gotten. It was massive, and I put it away! I am a little shocked/disgusted by myself, but a champion's gotta do what a champion's gotta do. I'm sure Kobayashi never help back in his training either. 
Anyhow, today there is a BOGO at Chipotle is you check in on facebook with your smartphone. Go out there and make me proud!

Sometimes I think that life has made me jaded. Disappointment and frustration are feelings that can ruin hours, days, weeks. When B showed me this video, I was reminded of how much hope and faith still resonate in my life. As I await for responses to my med school applications, everyday can have the emotional range of a schizophrenic bipolar. This video helped me, for just a moment, to feel grounded.

How to Hide Food Baby

As Thanksgiving approaches, I am in prime training mode to get my belly to peak strechability so as to fill it with the maximum amount of delicious Thanksgiving vittles. However, this athletic event requires not only proper training, but proper equipment too. Refinery 29 did a hilarious story on Outfits to Hide a Food Baby. Here's my top choice: 

Cute factor plus decent expandability quotient. I'd recommend going with a black shirt too if you're really on top of your game this year.
