September Issue

I am WAAAYYY behind on my magazine browsing. My roommates and I subscribe to Glamour, Instyle, and Marie Claire and there is a growing pile of editorials that my eyes have not feasted upon! 
To add to my fashion study load is this delectable documentary I found online today! 





Will it be too obscure if I were to be Anna Wintour for Halloween? I feel so inspired by her coldness. I can be cold too.

DID YOU KNOW THAT KATE BOSWORTH HAS HETEROCHROMIA (different colored eyes)??!?!

At Work!

Friday came twice this week (mostly because work ethic has kind of been low lately)! I was really tempted to go out to the pubs in PB last night but i resisted and worked on my secondaries like a good little med applicant. Today we're going to the pub on campus to celebrate a co-worker getting engaged. Any reason is reason enough to go to the pub on a Friday in my lab. Wore my new menwear-ish shoes today with my olive pants which is the color of choice this fall it seems. I'm still in love with all things camel colored though.

Hippity Hot!

It's been beautifully hot in San Diego these last few days and as much as it would be easy to complain about it, I am going to suck it up and enjoy the scorch while I can because I'm sure it will be gone in one brilliant flash. Then it will be cold again (and by cold, I mean below 70 degrees). I've been attempting to be more hip lately but i think it is definitely a skill that takes practice so bear with me.

I think this was yesterday or maybe the day before. I can't remember anymore, but I just downloaded like 5 more apps to aid in the hipsterizing so we'll see what's next. 
Sunday is B and my anniversary! Already a year, and a fun one at that. 
In other sadder news, work has been pretty tough and my experiments are requiring a lot more troubleshooting than I expected. C'est la vie. Vendor show tomorrow! Freebies! yay!

I am totally in love with this. Not sure why, but i love this!!!! The color, the shape, her skin! her legs! those shoes. I am enthralled with it all. 

Summer time

Summer has finally arrived here in La Jolla, San Diego. It arrived really late to the party, but ever so welcome. I haven't been updating my blog at all, which isn't a huge deal since nobody follows except my boyfriend and one of my best friends! ha! However, I am deciding to turn over a new leaf and will make an effort to update more often. I have to admit, I feel slightly awkward when asking my roommates to take my pictures but hopefully i'll get used to that awkwardness. B and I recently got a new app for our phones called Hipstamatic and it allows you to take cool hipster photos with your iphone. I think this will help me to pretend to be a hipster just a tad bit better!

This photo was taken by B at this restaurant we've been meaning to try called Prepkitchen. As the sister restaurant to Wisk'n'Ladle, it did not disappoint. I think i even like it better than Wisk. We sat on the outdoor covered patio and enjoyed the beautiful La Jolla weather with some grilled sammies.

Everything was delicious and I look forward to trying other things on the menu. The chips were really thin and perfectly crispy! I'm thinking about them right now. Anyhow, I got to work early today so hopefully I can scoot out a little early and enjoy some of this beautiful weather! However,I have to work on my med school secondaries so probably i will not be able to spend too much time frolicking.
