Summer time

Summer has finally arrived here in La Jolla, San Diego. It arrived really late to the party, but ever so welcome. I haven't been updating my blog at all, which isn't a huge deal since nobody follows except my boyfriend and one of my best friends! ha! However, I am deciding to turn over a new leaf and will make an effort to update more often. I have to admit, I feel slightly awkward when asking my roommates to take my pictures but hopefully i'll get used to that awkwardness. B and I recently got a new app for our phones called Hipstamatic and it allows you to take cool hipster photos with your iphone. I think this will help me to pretend to be a hipster just a tad bit better!

This photo was taken by B at this restaurant we've been meaning to try called Prepkitchen. As the sister restaurant to Wisk'n'Ladle, it did not disappoint. I think i even like it better than Wisk. We sat on the outdoor covered patio and enjoyed the beautiful La Jolla weather with some grilled sammies. 

on plate: Tuna melt sammy, mixed green vinaigrette salad, home made potato chips

Everything was delicious and I look forward to trying other things on the menu. The chips were really thin and perfectly crispy! I'm thinking about them right now. Anyhow, I got to work early today so hopefully I can scoot out a little early and enjoy some of this beautiful weather! However,I have to work on my med school secondaries so probably i will not be able to spend too much time frolicking.
